How can we bring this concept of gender equality to the United States and where can we begin? I feel that we as women get in each other's way, how can we stop that and ban together?

Maybe gender roles in advertisements like this wouldn't exist if they didn't work. There has been studies that show that, in the video game industry, boxes with a male on the cover sell more copies than one with a female on the cover.
Gender roles like this work because of the years of oppression women have faced. Maybe instead of embracing these stereotypes and excusing them as a commonplace that "works" you should open your eyes and help make a change by rejecting them. Men on the cover of a video game sell more video games because men are who are in control of the media we are presented with.

My point is that, even groups like the feminist movement, who claim to stand for gender justice, too, are counter productive in this matter. Saying, Women can be like men, but missing the point that, why can't men want to be like women? And why does anybody have to be like anybody? We're too busy fighting for sides we forget we're all two sides of the same coin.
I completely agree with this statement. Not just anybody, but what they want to be. Society, religion, and culture have pressure men and women to mold not only themselves, but their friends and family into the product they see fit. In modern day, it's the strong dominant male, and the weak not as prominent female. Tradition is obviously what has molded gender roles. I do agree with that line, "We're too busy fighting for sides we forget we're all two sides of the same coin."
I don't think feminists want to "be like" men. That can mean a lot. And why is "feminist" such a negative word? Personally, being a feminist myself, I just believe in equal opportunity. Yes, we are all human beings and should all be treated with respect equally, but nowadays, that's not always the case. Me being a feminist doesn't mean I don't support transgender men. In fact, I fully support it. So no, not all feminists think men can't be like women. All we're fighting for is equal opportunity.
Gabriela is on to something here. Equal opportunity is the topic. Matt you may want to focus on how we can create an environment with more equal opportunity. Feminism is just one aspect of the idea. Check out the equal pay for equal work bill that was just struck down by the house of representives for an example of why things are reverting back to male v. female.
What are some of the limitations that women face today, why does society think these limitations are okay, and what can we do to make our society realize this is degrading?
My regard to this video was the simple fact that it's an argument time has not been able to solve despite the anti-discrimination law and countless protests, wars, and abuse. Why is it that we still have gender roles, and more so, why is it still a problem that women and men are not able to be who they want to be because they must be what they are pressured to be - a "man" must work and be the brains of the household, while the "woman" must maintain the jobs of housework and raising the children. What can be done to stop discrimination against gender not just in America, but all over the world?
Feminism is thrown around like an insult. There was this video of how women ran called "running like a girl". In this video many different girls were asked to run like a girl, most of them threw their arms up in the air would sway their hips. Lastly the director went back to each girl and asked them to run as they normally would. At that point many girls realized what they did in the first place. Gender roles are big in the whole world, but the change had to begin with women.

I dont think it has anything to do with ethics. I am a mom and i dont think i lack ethics dor breastfeeding my son in public. There are places and there are ways to do it. I like your topic but I think that the word ethical is the wrong word to use, in my opinion.
This is a good point. I wasn't very familiar with feminists degrading transgender woman, but I do see how this is somewhat repeating women's history with all the struggles and prejudice that we are trying to surpass/change. These feminists need to "walk" their talk, when they preach equality.
